Silver is a thrilling and scary siege adventure. It's a survival story with school drama. The characters can seem a little cliche: smart, over-acheiving girl with insecurities, science nerd, hulking bully with a tough home life. But the author creates a compelling story of science gone horribly wrong. I recommend it for anyone who likes to be scared.
