Rick Dial is depressed after a car accident leaves his legs crippled and his college football dreams dashed. Obsessively playing a video game catches the attention of a government agency, whose mission is to fight the terrorist Kurodar. Rick is recruited to enter The Realm, a virtual reality world where anything is possible. Unfortunately, whatever happens to you in The Realm also happens in real life.
This is a basic science fiction novel featuring virtual reality and high stakes drama. While there's nothing new here, the characters are interesting and the story flows briskly, possible setting the stage for a sequel.
